Speech Therapy and Swallowing Management Re-imagined

At Rowe’s Speech and Swallowing Clinic, we’re proud to support neurodivergent individuals of all ages with affirming, personalized care. Our mission is to enhance communication and swallowing in ways that honor each person’s sensory profile, strengths, and lived experience.
We offer both individual and group therapy, tailored to meet diverse needs across home, school, and supported accommodation settings. Our team completes formal assessments—including the CELF-5, ADOS-2, PLS-5, and more—with sensitivity and precision, ensuring every report reflects the whole person, not just the paperwork.
We also provide comprehensive NDIS documentation and mealtime management plans that prioritize safety, dignity, and sensory comfort—because eating and speaking should feel empowering, not overwhelming.

We offer comprehensive swallowing assessments and personalized mealtime management plans for neurodiverse children and adults. Our approach honors sensory preferences, supports nutritional wellbeing, and promotes safe, affirming eating experiences across all ages. Whether it’s texture sensitivities, oral-motor challenges, or mealtime anxiety, we tailor strategies that fuel individuals—never force them to fit in.

Me & Marp — Fuelling Brilliant Minds
It started with a question: "How can I help my child feel their best — inside and out?"
At Me & Marp, we know that mealtimes can be tough — especially for children with sensory sensitivities, limited food preferences, or oral-motor challenges. We’ve lived it. That’s why we’re reimagining nutrition through a range of thoughtful, science-backed supplements designed especially for neurodiverse children with unique sensory and dietary needs.
And now, we’re going deeper. We’re actively researching vitamins and supplements that support preference-driven eaters — kids who eat selectively due to sensory, emotional, or developmental factors.
Our goal? To offer gentle, effective nutritional support that meets children where they are, without pressure, shame, or compromise.
But who’s Marp? Marp is more than a name — they’re a friend, a guide, and a symbol of all the brilliant ways our kids experience the world. Some say Marp is a little blue creature with big headphones and an even bigger imagination. Others say they live in the clouds and paint the sky with thoughts and colours. To us, Marp is every child’s spark — the part that shines brightest when they’re fuelled, not fixed.
Because at Me & Marp, we don’t believe in changing kids. We believe in fuelling them — just as they are.

Offer Predictable Plates
Create a visual routine with familiar foods, served in consistent formats. Repetition builds trust. If broccoli always comes steamed and separate, keep it that way — surprises can feel unsafe.
Use “Safe Foods” as Anchors
Include 1–2 preferred foods at every meal. These act as sensory anchors, helping kids feel grounded even when new items are present. No need to hide or disguise — we honor what feels good.
Explore Through Play, Not Pressure
Let kids interact with food through touch, smell, or pretend play. A child poking a carrot with a spoon is still learning. Exposure without expectation builds confidence.
Respect the “No”
If a child says no — to a texture, smell, or bite — we listen. That’s communication. That’s autonomy. Mealtimes should feel safe, not stressful.
Serve Food in Sensory-Friendly Formats
Smooth, crunchy, dry, warm — every child has a sensory profile. Offer supplements, snacks, and meals in formats that match their comfort zone (like tasteless powders, gummies, or creams).
Celebrate Curiosity, Not Quantity
A lick, a sniff, a question — these are wins. We don’t measure success in bites. We measure it in connection, comfort, and joy.
Use Affirming Language
Instead of “picky,” say “selective.” Instead of “refuses to eat,” say “prefers familiar foods.” Language shapes experience — and every child deserves dignity at the table.
